It is vital that the student delegates prepare for the 2004 NSAW
conference. They will be coming from a variety of different
backgrounds and interests. In order to contribute meaningfully
to the discussion at the conference, the delegates must have a
common understanding of the current space program in Canada.
Therefore, the conference organization committee has prepared
a set of 16 slides (click here),
summarizing recent strategy and budget
information about the Canadian civil space program. The student
delegates are expected to be thoroughly familiar with this
information before the conference. If you have trouble downloading
the file, you can request a paper copy be mailed to you when you
register online.
Additional documents that the delegates should read critically before
the conference are the current Canadian Space Strategy document
prepared by the Canadian Space Agency (click here),
and the results of the recommendations of the youth conference at the
1999 United Nations conference on space, UNISPACE III (click here).
Delegates can also check out the Canadian Space Agency website at

of companies working in the space sector in Canada at http://www.space.gc.ca/asc/app/csd/csd.asp.
